Our Origins

The Let’s Do It Together Foundation exists as an entity that is committed to putting the findings and recommendations of the Sanford Equity Taskforce into action. We are dedicated to making progress on behalf of our underrepresented residents.

The Let’s Do It Together Foundation has its beginnings in the work started by the Sanford Equity Taskforce. The work of the taskforce concentrated on seven key areas:

communication and community responsibility
criminal justice
education
public health services
housing and home ownership
leadership and inclusion
wages and income

With the support of MINA Charter School as non-profit fiscal agent, the “Let’s Do It Together Foundation” initiated our process to become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and to secure grant funding and donations to implement our community initiatives.

We work tirelessly to address the inequities revealed by the taskforce through the collaborative efforts of interested individuals, academic communities, non-profit organizations, religious groups, and local governments.
