Throughout the year, the Let’s Do It Together Foundation engages in a series of diverse events and activities. The variety of our programs makes it possible to engage a wide range of residents in our community and to promote access and opportunities for all, through education, advocacy, civic engagement and collaboration.

Let’s Do It Together Leadership Academy

LDIT Leadership Academy empowers and educates members of underserved communities to prepare for present and future leadership opportunities in the community and local businesses and organizations. Academy students come to understand how they can participate in processes that will help to improve the quality of life in our communities.

Diversity Equity & Inclusion Conference

Our annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Conference gathers key community stakeholders and local government officials, and promotes the values of diversity and inclusion in hiring and promotion in both the private and public sector. It provides organizations an opportunity to build internal capacity so that employers have the competencies and resources to promote diversity and inclusion.

Black History Month Performances & Presentations

Our annual Black History Month events and activities are a great way to help bring all of our citizens together. Our educational and entertaining programs help attendees gain more awareness and clarity about the significant contributions that have made by African Americans throughout the years, as well as the unique experiences and challenges that have been a historical part of life for many in our community.

Community Leader Mental Health First Aid Training

Crisis Intervention Trainings (CIT) make it possible for law enforcement and emergency personnel to effectively equip first responders in intervention and de-escalation techniques during a mental health crisis response. This collaboration, under the direction of Central Carolina Community College and Sandhills Center, includes law enforcement, mental health and health care providers, educational organizations, and advocacy groups for the purpose of training, communication, and enhanced service delivery in dealing with mental health consumers.

Community Service Events & Activities

The Let’s Do It Together Foundation is committed to developing initiatives and supporting established activities that will unite us as citizens and encourage a commitment to equity and inclusiveness. Our community outreach, includes activities such as Back To School Backpack Giveaways and Feeding Families Food Drive events. Large corporations and small businesses, educators and faith communities, non-profits and service organizations, as well as families and individuals are encouraged to be part of our work together.
