Throughout the year, the Let’s Do It Together Foundation engages in a series of diverse events and activities. The variety of our programs makes it possible to engage a wide range of residents in our community and to promote access and opportunities for all, through education, advocacy, civic engagement and collaboration.

Let’s Do It Together Leadership Academy

LDIT Leadership Academy empowers and educates members of underserved communities to prepare for present and future leadership opportunities in the community and local businesses and organizations. Academy students come to understand how they can participate in processes that will help to improve the quality of life in our communities.

LDIT Leadership Conference

Our annual LDIT Leadership Conference gathers key community stakeholders and local government officials, and promotes the values of effective leadership, collaboration and teamwork in both the private and public sector. It provides organizations an opportunity to build internal capacity so that employers have the competencies and resources to help their organizations and employees achieve their full potential.

Black History Month Recognitions &  Presentations

Our annual Black History Month events and activities are a great way to help bring all of our citizens together. LDIT’s signature event is our annual Black History Month Hometown Heroes Banquet on the first Saturday in February.  We honor local African-Americans who have made a meaningful difference in our community, while recognizing the broader meanings of the Black History Month. Our educational and entertainment programs help attendees of all ages gain more awareness and clarity about the significant contributions that have made by African Americans throughout the years.

Resilience Building & Mental Health Resources

The Let’s Do It Together Foundation is fully committed to helping our fellow citizens live healthy, happy lives.  Our resiliency conferences and trainings provide hope, healing and tools for resilient adults and thriving children. We help people overcome challenges in the midst of today’s complex times.

Youth & Community Events & Activities

The Let’s Do It Together Foundation produces and participates in activities that can make transformative differences in peoples’ lives. One example is our annual Middle School Leadership Academy — a summer program that helps young people experience service and leadership opportunities in their community. Our community outreach, includes activities such as Back To School Backpack Giveaways and Feeding Families Food Drive events.
